History of Things
Introduction
History of Things is all about pop culture, just from a different perspective- the object. We featured stories about old things, forgotten things, things you never knew existed and things you didn’t realize were “things”.
Approach
In this short series, we covered interesting histories behind object design including sewing machines, rachets and bells. Each article would ask, “Is an object defined by form or function?”. By the end of the story, readers would get a better understanding of why their stuff looks or works the way it does.
