Introduction

Our Genetic Legacy is a nonprofit training young, BIPOC women how to preserve history using drone technology. Participants in the DRONe Project (Descendants Recovering our Names) capture various African American sites such as the Julian Cemetery and Harrison Serenity Ranch.

We were approached to build a database that tracked drone trainings, museum trips and meetings throughout the year.

 

Approach

We collected data previously saved on excel sheets and google docs and transferred it to Airtable. The new database was customized to track current participants, program attendance, staff, and content submissions from both parties. Success of the DRONe Project is now quantifiable for end of the year reporting and future funding.
